Thank you to Thomas and Emma of Derry and District Beekeepers for their visit to our school today.
Our primary 7s had a great time learning about the life cycle and behaviours of this truly fascinating insect.
The children even tasted a variety of different honey types and how the flavour of the honey is determined by the plant the bees feed from.
The children also learned how to make little bee hotels!
A special word of thanks to our very own beekeeper, Mrs Mary Harkin, for arranging this visit.
