⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ National Champ! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Along with the regional success we had in the Foyle Schools’ Poetry Competition, we received news on Thursday of last week that our Primary 7 pupil, Joe Hutcheon, has won the Seamus Heaney Homeplace Poetry Competition which is open to every pupil of P6 and P7 age in the country! We couldn’t be more proud of Joe’s remarkable achievement. The judges of the competition were initially suspicious that AI was involved, such was the standard of his entry – remarkably, Joe wrote his poem in his jotter, in one sitting in class. What an achievement! We’ll be looking forward to Joe’s first published collection!
